Describing life here is difficult – because what matters to you might be completely different from what matters to someone else. There's no one-size-fits-all when it comes to care. What we can say is this: we offer the freedom and support to live the life you choose, in peaceful, spacious surroundings. We're comfortably sized – large by most standards – and we run our home as the word suggests: a home. Your home. We're there when you need us to be, and nearby when perhaps you don't. If you enjoy company, it's there for you. If you prefer your own space, that's fine too. We offer an extensive activities programme, driven by what residents actually want to do. You can try gentle exercise, turn your hand to dominoes, crafts or a quiz, spend time in the gardens, or simply enjoy the views with a cup of tea. We welcome visiting religious services, and arrange regular visits from hairdressers, chiropodists, singers and entertainers. Newspapers are delivered daily. A tuckshop visits weekly. Our local GP holds a surgery here every week. Our team provides 24-hour nursing and residential care, all meals, laundry, cleaning and maintenance. Whatever is important to you and your family becomes important to us. We want residents to enjoy life at Cheswardine Hall. We want our staff to enjoy working here.
